Pericles
Pericles was born in c. 495 B.C, he lived about 70 years. After assuming the rule of Athens Even though Pericles wasn't an architect, he still was the person who took part in hiring the greatest sculptors for the rebuilding of the Parthenon and the Acropolis. He will be remembered for being the ruler to rebuild two of the most greatest of Greek's architecture. Phidias was the person who re-built the Statue of Athena with wood, ivory, and gold. Pericles also commanded the building of the Odeon.
Phidias
He re-built the Statue of Athena in the Acropolis. He gained most of his fame for his two enormous chryselephantine (gold and ivory) sculptures: One of Athena in the Parthenon, and the other of Zeus at Olympia. The Statue of Athena was located in the rebuilt Acropolis, the Acropolis is one of the many man-made buildings that was in the Parthenon. The Statue of Athena was a beautiful statue made of chryselephantine. It was built to honor the god Athena.
